Bolvik, situated on Värmdö, about 35
km east of Stockholm, you´ll
find the best camping if you´ll visit Stockholm.
At
The camp we have 10 pitches with power, and 10 without, 3 small cabins and
space for tent. Open 1 may-30 sept.
How
to come to the camping?
Travelling
north on E4, turn off at Västberga to road 222 in the direction to
Nacka/Gustavsberg. After about 20
km you pass the roundabout in Mölnvik, continue 5 km to Hemmesta, and turn
left on road 274 to Vaxholm/Rindö. About 10 km later you´ll find the camping at right hand.
Travelling
south on E4/E18, follow Norrtälje/Danderyd/Djursholm/Täby, keep on E18 for
about 5-6 km,
turn right on road 274 toward Vaxholm. In Vaxholm,
enter the ferry to Rindö and drive across Rindö (about 5 km) to the next ferry, which
will take you across Oxdjupet to Värmdö/Stenslätten. Then about 5 km and you´ll have the camp at
left hand.
If
you use a GPS, calibrate Värmdö/Lillsvedsvägen. From Hemmesta, 1 km before Lillsvedsvägen;
from the ferry, 1 km

If
you wish to go to Stockholm
City, we recommend you to
take the ferry to Rindö and then drive across Rindö to another ferry. You can
leave the car at Rindö and take the ferry to Vaxholm, and from Vaxholm you can
enjoy a pleasant trip by boat to Stockholm City, from where you can walk to
Skansen (open air museum and zoo), Gröna Lund (Tivoli) and the Wasa-museum (the
old Swedish warship from 1630). You can also visit Gamla stan
(the old town) with its pleasant shops, or numerous shops in the central City.
From
Vaxholm, you can take
a boat trip out to the archipelago to, for exempel, Sandhamn (the sailing
paradise of Östersjön), or Möja, Ljusterö and many other destinations.
At
Siggesta, 1,5
km from the camping, you´ll find Stockholm’s
best miniature golf court.
